Hi, I'm Jane from GDN Media. And today I'm at River Views International School at the culmination of a two weeks robotics course. Come on, let's see what they're doing. OK, so this looks very fascinating. Can you tell me what this is and a little bit more about it? So this is called a Sumo robot. It's used in fighting competitions between two robots and we created this using Arduino, microcontrollers and laser cut acrylic and also 3D. And its parts that we designed in Fusion 360. I'm with two of the students here, Ali and Zayed Ali and I just want to know why do you enjoy this program? To improve my skills in robotics and in that all war and to have a new friend help me in the future with my work, Yeah. I honestly think the world of technology is so vast and interesting, so it's really cool to be able to learn the skills necessary to create a new world. My son Abdurahman was participating in the initial two week workshop. I was very proud of him because I haven't seen him commit to anything like this activity. You know, as parents we want. For it to we we sometimes we push our children to participate in different things, but he was so into this whole coding and robotics thing, and I was even prouder when the school called me and they told me that his name was suggested to move on to the advanced. Workshop. So I was super, super proud.

Final demos of autonomous driving for my fourth year METE 4300U: Introduction to Mobile Robotics students using ROBOTIS TurtleBot3 robots andOpen RoboticsROS (Robot Operating System ).For this phase of the project, the students had to program their robots to detect a construction zone, autonomously switch lanes, pass the work zone, and then return to their original lane. This course is an elective in the Mechatronics Engineering program atOntario Tech University Engineering atOntario Tech University.#ROS#robots

A bit of nostalgia: Robots are one of the reasons I decided to become an engineer, but strangely enough, I never worked with robots in my career! Yet, when I started serving as the department chair at UCF Electrical and Computer Engineering, one of my goals has been and continues to be growing our department in that area, and now I have some good news to share. We will be offering a Master's Degree in Robotics and Autonomous Systems (see below)! Our program is designed to train the future roboticist with a balanced curriculum that covers the three major areas of perception, decision making, and actuation. Whether you're keen on creating autonomous drones, crafting cutting-edge AI, or just building a really smart toaster, we've got you covered. So, to the future Robotics Overlords: Prepare to be the benevolent leader of your own robot army. (Just remember, with great power comes great responsibility—and probably a lot of charging cables.)The career prospects for robotics specialists are outstanding, and a degree in robotics is expected to open doors to top tech companies, research institutions, and maybe even a job at a cool start-up where you can bring your crazy ideas to life.Join us at UCF and become a part of the next wave of innovators. The future is robotic, and it starts with you! 🤖✨Apply now, and may the robots be with you! 🚀🎉

My fourth year METE 4300U: Introduction to Mobile Robotics students doing another demonstration of autonomous driving using ROBOTIS TurtleBot3 robots and Open Robotics ROS (Robot Operating System ).For this portion of the project, the students had to program their robots to obey traffic lights as they travelled along a road.Great example of hands-on, experiential learning in our Mechatronics Engineering program at Ontario Tech University Engineering at Ontario Tech University.#ROS #robots
